A Gift to the Hearts of all People "Miracle"  Born August 20, 1994 The Heider Farm ~ Janesville, Wisconsin the First White Bufflao Calf to be born  Miracle, the Sacred White Female Buffalo Calf, was born on the farm of Dave, Valerie, and Corey Heider during the morning of August 20, 1994.  Not an albino, she is considered to be the first white buffalo calf born since 1933.  Furthermore, she is extremely important to the religious beliefs of many American Indian tribes.  The Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota Nations (known collectively as the Sioux) are considered her primary spiritual guardians and she plays a pivotal role in the fulfillment of their most revered prophecies.  However, her place in the prophecies and beliefs of many tribes make her a highly sacred symbol to many of the American Indian Nations across the continent.  She is seen by a vast number of people as a symbol of hope and renewal for humanity and for harmony between all peoples, all races, in our world today. With Miracle being the first, as of September 2001, there have been nine Sacred White Buffalo Calves born on Turtle Island. Chief Arvol Looking Horse, Keeper of the Original Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, sent the following words upon learning of the birth of the ninth calf at the O’Rourke Ranch in Vanderbilt, Michigan........

White Buffalo Calf Woman's spirit would make her presence known, a sign of great changes signifying the Crossroads.  I never dreamed I would live to witness this momentous time.  Eight other white buffalo have since stood upon Mother Earth.  White Buffalo Calf Woman's spirit has announced her message of support in this time of great danger, and she continues to announce the message in the birth of each White Buffalo--each one of them a Sign, each one a fulfillment of ancient Prophecy as well as a new Prophecy for our times.

Invites representatives of all faiths throughout our global community to unite and participate in this effort to bring about a positive shift of consciousness by connecting with the earth's sacred sites on June 21st, the Summer Solstice.

WPPD-2001 will be blessed with a full solar eclipse this year which will be viewable from a narrow band crossing the Southern Hemisphere. This is very exciting to all of us as we believe that this planetary alignment may help to amplify our collective efforts to bring about a global shift of consciousness. For centuries, people have been astounded by phenomenon like this. The fact that this is occurring on the Summer Solstice is very significant according to the beliefs of indigenous cultures, it's a sign that we are on the right path to peace. 

In our ongoing effort to work for the fundmental rights of indigenous cultures, we have partnered with the NetAid.Org volunteer program and the Eastern Art Arcade in the development of a project focusing on the study and documentation of our world's tribal heritage. It is our hope to create a greater awareness of the necessity to preserve the ancient wisdom of all native people who's intimate understanding of nature is so important for maintaining the health and balance of the earth's life supporting ecosystems.

A gathering of people from the four nations of England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and all the world over will take place from June 20 to 23rd 2001. This is significant for many reasons not least the coming together of sacred traditions new and old and of indiginous and ordinary people moving forward through a forgiveness of the past toward a new unity and respect across the world.  WPPD aims to show that profound positive change comes through at the level of consciousness.  June 21st is the Summer Solstice and holds ancient traditional ceremonial importance to all cultures.  On this day the Sun, the Source of Life, is at it's most intense. Life is held in balance when the four elements of earth, air, water and fire are in harmony and clearly this is not so today as global warming and pollution is damaging our lives.
